TECHNOLOGY

OpenBand offers innovative technology to smart communities. A 2010 technical analysis of our system affirmed the state-of-the art nature of our technology. Columbia Telecommunications Corporation (CTC), a nationally recognized engineering consulting firm, performed this review of OpenBand for the Loudoun County Government. Among other things, CTC concluded that:

OpenBand’s system is state-of-the-art when
   compared to other cable providers in Loudoun
   County;
OpenBand’s technology is “fiber-optic rich”;
OpenBand’s picture quality is good and meets or
   exceeds all FCC standards; and
OpenBand’s cable plant is in “very good condition
   relative to industry standards.”

Finally, CTC concluded, “We believe the unique capabilities of the OpenBand plant physical structure will allow the system to support all emerging technologies in the foreseeable future.”
